Future Primitive Films LLC is a production company based in Brooklyn, NY created in 2009 by Jacqueline Castel. Named after the soundtrack to an imaginary film by Factums, Future Primitive Films serves to produce, document, and distribute not only her work, but also that of her collaborations with fellow filmmakers and artists.

Jacqueline Castel is a filmmaker and designer who has directed and photographed multiple short films and music videos. She has studied filmmaking and cinematography at CalArts, FAMU in the Czech Republic, and earned her BFA in Film & TV at the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. Her work has been screened at theaters, film festivals, galleries, and events worldwide, including SXSW.

Jacqueline's work has been featured and reviewed by various television stations, publications, and websites including Channel 4 Television in the UK, Dazed & Confused, The Fader, France 24 TV, Italian Vogue, MTV, MuchMusic TV Canada, The New York Times, NME, Pitchfork, Self-Titled Magazine, Stereogum, and The Wire.
